USE–LESS Sustainable Strategies for Scotland and Lower Saxony
The goal of the project was the international and transdisciplinary (further) development of sustainable design strategies in the area of Slow Fashion. To this end, Hanover University, together with its Scottish partners, Heriot-Watt University (HWU) and Robert Gordon University (RGU), launched a cross-faculty, integrated research, teaching, and transfer project entitled "USE LESS – Sustainable Design Strategies for Scotland and Lower Saxony."
Building upon and supported by joint international workshops and expert exchanges, an interdisciplinary "Design and Science" module was to be developed for broad educational and public outreach beyond the university, in order to convey sustainability topics not only to pupils and students but also in exchange with businesses and the public.
Specifically, after the finalization of the teaching/learning module, integration into a mobile unit, such as a vehicle, was planned. This was intended to raise awareness of the topic in a low-threshold manner not only in metropolitan areas but also in rural regions.
